Astrology Traits and Personality of Scorpio
Powerful, Dramatic and Wise:
Scorpios are seen as the “most powerful” sign of the zodiac. They lead fate filled lives and have intense and dramatic personal relationships. Even as children, Scorpios are often found to be wise beyond their years. Many astrologers call this the sign of the “oldest souls”. Old and wise beyond the average, Scorpios often know all the answers, except sometimes; they too often have difficulty finding what they need to develop their own happiness.
Secretive, Passionate and Intense:
Passion, desire and power go hand in hand for Scorpios. Their biggest challenge and test in life is choosing between the power of love and the love of power. Coming to grips with their extraordinary emotional depths and sensitivity isn’t easy for those around them. A strong theme throughout their life is to merge deeply with others in a way that allows them to experience emotional intensity.
Faithful and Unforgiving:
they are different from all other zodiac signs and this difference has them walking, working and loving to a different beat. Others can often live with a Scorpio partner for years, but not really know them. Much to do with a Scorpio remains ever secret. Their eyes often blaze with feelings that words never express, and beware on the days or nights they do hide their feelings behind dark glasses, as there is likely to be a storm of some kind brewing. Scorpios operate on three levels of soul evolvement ( Also referred to as the Evolutionary Spiral – See more about each level below ) Quite frequently, a Scorpio goes through these levels of evolvement within one lifetime, but can operate out of sequence.
The first level is the Scorpion. This is the least evolved and most drawn toward using their powers the wrong way. Then there is the eagle – the high flying, entrepreneurial, successful Scorpio, who seems able to rise above adversity and transform bad-times into good. Then the highest expression of this sign is the Phoenix Resurrected. These Scorpios are detached and extremely powerful. They are wise beyond their years and act as leaders and an inspiration to others.
EVOLUTIONARY SPIRAL:

At the Totally Personality Centered level, The Scorpio is totally selfish. She engages in a dance of death for total ego supremacy over everyone. She weaves a web of astral (emotional) energy into which she attracts her victims. While they struggle within the web, Scorpio can use her victims’ resources for her own advantage. If Scorpio remains un-redeemed, the toxins within her web will eventually poison her and send her even further into the depths of the astral world. Scorpios destiny is then most often characterized by a series of self-annihilating experiences. The purpose and lesson of these experiences is to create enough pain within her, to awaken her to her own latent forces for redemption.
The Awakening to the Soul-Personality Relationship, symbolized by the Eagle, moves between heaven and earth, opening self to duality and the struggle between pairs of opposites. Scorpio has a very sharp eye and has developed a degree of objectivity and patience at this level. Her inner brilliance is beginning to shine forth. She is loyal to her family and willingly gives priority to their needs. She is supportive in assisting others in their creative self-expression. She is brave and stands up for what she believes in. The desire nature is still very strong, seeking the heights of ambition and the passion of sexual and social conquest. BUT still Scorpio seeks to exalt the personality rather than to rise above it. She relentlessly pursues her desires, whether those desires are for the well-being of others or for her own personal gain. The Scorpio, at this level is still attached to her passions and goals; however, she is beginning to realize the futility of many of her personality-centered battles. Scorpio is awakening to her own inner brilliance radiating from her noble heart. The latter stages of this level are occupied with the battles of Armageddon. She conquers the lower self and anchors herself on the Path of Discipleship. This is the stage of test and trial; it is also the stage of ultimate victory. The Scorpion is tested and re-tested to make sure she is ready to become the “One-pointed Disciple” personified in the Sagittarius incarnation. If Scorpio loses the battle, she returns to a Libran incarnation (the 7th Day of Rest) before once more engaging in the battles of Scorpio.
The Soul-Centered Individual – From the ashes of the lower self and its desires, Scorpio is resurrected as the Phoenix. She is aflame with her inner brilliance, magnetic powers, and tremendous healing ability. She is victorious in her own battle of Armageddon and is now ready to do battle for the Divine Plan, fighting for the whole of humanity. The Scorpio Phoenix is the “embodiment of love winning out over adversity, harmony arising out of unavoidable conflict, and the resurrection of the life force through a totally dedicated and self-conscious human being.”
For the Scorpio Ascendant:
The zodiac energy on the Ascendant is the energy that the public beholds, is most often indicative of an old soul who has, in prior lifetimes, developed the capacity to endure the abrupt changes and struggles that will be a part of this incarnation. She is thrust into life’s struggles at an early age. Her insistence on individuality is uncompromising.
